Week One: Cairns, Australia

G'day Mates!
I have been without internet so I was unable to blog about how cool the great barrier reef was in Cairns, Australia! The weather was absolutely perfect and the water was bright blue and the reef was awesome! I saw some sea turtles, a SHARK!, lots and lots of bright fish, and to top off the whole experience we were lucky enough to watch a humpback whale doing flips in the ocean right next to our boat!! The Great Barrier Reef is by far the absolute most beautiful and coolest thing I have ever seen! Fun Fact: it is the largest living organism, and can be seen from space!

Also while in Cairns I was lucky enough to hike through the worlds oldest rain forest, see the famous Port Douglas, and drive through the rain forest to an awesome little beach that was perfect--white sand, blue ocean, surrounded by vegetation. I felt like I was in a movie. Fun fact, we saw the island where steve erwin was diving and was killed by a sting ray.
