"There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man less, but Nature more" -Lord Byron
Today me and my friends Sarah, Mary, Nicole, Monique, Katie, Caitlin, Emma, Lauren, and the one and only boy Jordan went on a wine tour in Hunter Valley. It was a three hour drive from Sydney. First, we went to Savannah--which made my favorite merlot--and they had very intense desert wines like there muscat. Then we went to Kelman (awesome shiraz) and they had a cute set up with really beautiful and feminine wine labels (seduction and indulgence were delicious as well). Then we went to Smelly's Cheese and ate amazing feta and pesto cheese then off to the third winery, Tempus Two, which had the most interesting sauvignon blanc. At this point we were rather tipsy and having quite a good time with Keith the awesome tour guide/bus driver. Next we went to a Bluetongue Brewery and had a really nice gourmet meal and some beer. We got these paddles with 6 shots of the bluetongue beer and then you pick your favorite and get a pint glass full. My favorite was the Bluetongue traditional pilsener, but the bluetongue alcoholic ginger beer was really good too (very gingery). Lastly, we ended the awesome day at the gorgeous Tintilla Estates. Overall, the day was beautiful filled with lots of wine :) laughter, being silly, and friends! I would highly recommend doing this wine tour if you ever find yourself in Sydney. You get LOTS of wine and meet awesome people and 3/4 wineries only sell their wine at the cellar door and you cannot get it ANYWHERE else.
Beautiful labels at Kelman's

"Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars... and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers - for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are." ~Osho
