Its Funny How the World Works

"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world" -Albert Einstein.

It's funny how the world works. I got to start my first day of college at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC wandering through the graffiti tunnels admiring amazing constantly changing art. The tunnels sort of paralleled life forms in a sense--shaping, molding, and growing single every day. The tunnel became one of my freshman year highlights, as I would have to walk through one of the tunnels to get to campus every day. Rain or shine, snow or hail, kids were always working on the tunnel--creating and inspiring.

Like I said, its funny how the world words. Because on my first day of school SENIOR YEAR (still cannot even believe it) this time all the way on the opposite side of the entire world in Sydney, Australia, I found myself wandering through an incredible graffiti tunnel. Instantly, I experienced a roller-coaster of emotions--I started to miss home, I started to miss App, I started to miss my friends and family but as I looked around at all the art, I felt like I was in a new home, with new adventures to be had, and I was excited. There was a new graffiti tunnel that was transforming just like me, every day, into something new and unpredictable.

(sorry App the Sydney one is a little bigger and I have to say, slightly cooler. I am going to have to go back to App in the Spring and take better pictures of ours though!)
