Romeo & Juliet

Today was my last day of Australian Film and we studied Romeo & Juliet (about my 15th time studying this in film, but I still LOVE this movie). Baz Luhrmann is a genius. More importantly however, there was a girl at my table who did NOT KNOW the story of Romeo & Juliet. She had never studied the play. She had never studied shakespeare. And most importantly, she claims to have NEVER HEARD OF THE STORY. she didn't even know they both die at the end. I was baffled. absolutely baffled.

But speaking of Baz Luhrmann, he is currently working on The Great Gatsby here in Sydney (also starring Leonardo DiCaprio) I am stalking the sets to run into either Leo or Baz. I cannot wait to see his final rendition of one of my personal favorite books.
